]]>Isobel Graham, the Hamilton District Foodbank Manager, thanked everybody for their contributions, which will go towards helping people experiencing hardship in these difficult times. Isobel explained that 9,429 three-day emergency food supplies were provided to local people in crisis by the Hamilton District branch during 2019/20, compared to 8,084 in 2018/19. Of this number 3,295 went to children.
The Hamilton District Foodbank is part of the Trussel Trust network, which helps people break free from poverty by providing the additional support they need to resolve the crises they’re facing. Help with things like debt advice, mental health support or benefits guidance can mean that people don’t need to use a food bank again in the future.
Food banks rely on the support of their local communities to support people in crisis. The Hamilton District Foodbank Just Giving page remains open and can be found here: https://www.justgiving.com/hamilton-district-foodbank

]]>We are liaising closely with our supply chain partners to ensure continued access to all essential products, services and materials and, as we continue to navigate the daily challenges, we will endeavour to keep you updated.
Wherever possible, face-to-face meetings will be via video, or we’ll hold telephone conference calls. If meeting in person is unavoidable, we will aim for this to take place outside or in a large well-ventilated meeting room to enable participants to remain at least 2 metres apart. Please don’t be offended if we also try to keep these meetings as brief as possible to keep you and our staff safe.
Currently, construction and the provision of essential utility activities are expected to continue as normal within Scotland’s level 4 framework. Staff who need to travel across tiers to get to and from work (e.g. if you live in a tier 2 area and work in a tier 4 area) can request a letter from the HR team, which will permit travel due to work, on HR@energetics-uk.com. This will be provided automatically to all staff in the Operations department.
Thank you, our team and supply chain partners, for your continued support. We wish you and your families the very best in these uncertain times.
If we are currently dealing with one of your developments or you require a quote and design for utility connections, we’re here to help so please contact us on 03300 587400 or hello@energetics-uk.com or via our website contact form: https://energetics.isaacpartnership.com/contact2/.

]]>Our donations helped massively last time and were incredibly valuable to their recipients. Things have obviously become much tougher for us all in 2020 and it’s hard to imagine how hard and stressful it must be for families unable to feed themselves at this time.
We were going to run this till Friday Oct 23rd, block booking the Ground Yellow Meeting Room to use as storage but as the Hamilton District Foodbank is moving premises, they have requested that we host the Foodbank on 17th November, so we’ll continue collecting and storing donations until then.
Their most wanted donation items are non-perishable items, such as tinned fruit, rice, custard, jars of cooking sauces, tins of meat, tomatoes, tuna, veg, potatoes, etc., biscuits, chocolate, jam, diluting juice, coffee and hot chocolate. Toiletries are also very welcome.
There is also a Just Giving link for cash donations (following several requests). Please put “Energetics” in as a reference. https://www.justgiving.com/hamilton-district-foodbank
We’re hoping for a big donation from us all again – a fiver added on to your weekly shop will make a massive difference to those worse off!

]]>On Monday 23rd March 2020, the UK government implemented new, stricter measures to combat the outbreak of COVID-19.
The situation is changing rapidly but it is now clear that several large national and regional housebuilders and land developers are closing their sites. Some construction industry suppliers and builders’ merchants are also making decisions to suspend trading.
As a result of these developments, we are commencing a safe and orderly closure of all our sites, offices and depots by Friday 27th March 2020. This is to protect our team of employees as well as our wider community, with the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and other partners our absolute priority. All those team members who can work from home have now been asked to do so.
We anticipate this closure will last until Monday 20th April 2020. Until then, our sales, design, estimating, scheduling and project management teams will continue to be there for you during normal working hours to help you connect your future sites, to agree a revised programme of work for existing sites and to plan site remobilisation.
Keeping you informed
As we continue to navigate the daily challenges of coronavirus, we will endeavour to keep you updated in good time.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our team and supply chain partners for your continued support and to wish you and your families the very best in uncertain times.

]]>Like others,
we continually revise our approach as new advice is issued or information
becomes available, but we wanted to let you know what we are doing now so that
we continue to be there to support you
over the coming days, weeks and months.
Contingency Plans
We have already implemented several measures:
Offices
We’ve been rigorously following the recommendations of the various statutory Public Health bodies and the World Health Organisation over the last few weeks. We have been self-isolating and maintaining distance wherever possible and will continue to do so. All our offices are currently open as usual.
We are following government guidelines on preventative measures; hand sanitiser is provided in all offices and surfaces are being cleaned regularly with anti-bacterial wipes and disinfectant cleaner.
Large numbers of our workforce are working from home or are working in the field using mobile information technology. With this in mind, we anticipate little disruption and aim to continue business as usual.
Depots and Sites
We remain committed to delivering our full range of services. Our depots remain open and our workforce continues to visit construction sites across Great Britain in line with our scheduled work programme.
We are liaising closely with our supply chain partners to ensure that we have continued access to all essential products, services and materials. We are not currently aware of any supply chain constraints and have satisfied ourselves with their operational resilience plans.
Keeping informed
As we continue to navigate the daily challenges, we will endeavour to keep you updated in good time of any anticipated impact on normal business operations.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our team and supply chain partners for your continued support and to wish you and your families the very best in uncertain times.

]]>The first of the product innovation workshops formed part of the site safety day, held in January, where operations teams were provided with the opportunity to review new shoring equipment.
The success of this initial employee and supplier event has led to a calendar of workshops, with the February offering being a demonstration of new pipe fittings and materials to a team of engineers and asset inspectors.
The employees invited to the events are encouraged to question and challenge the suppliers and provide honest reviews and feedback to determine if the new products could be implemented into daily working life and what, if any, the benefits and efficiencies would be.
Both Craig and Denis are keen to introduce more events like these, in partnership with suppliers, across the business, as they realise the positive impact this has both with employee engagement and supplier relationships and is yet another initiative positioning Energetics as an industry leader.
